Trzyaktowe Rigoletto Giuseppe Verdiego to klasyka w repertuarze światowej opery. Efektowne dekoracje i piękne kostiumy od lat przyciągają publiczność do Teatru Wielkiego - Opery Narodowej.
Nadchodzące spektakle online z pewnością zachwycą m.in. fanów opery w klasycznym wydaniu. Reżyser Gilberto Deflo stworzył tradycyjną, a zarazem magiczną inscenizację, którą wyróżnia mistrzowska dbałość o detale. Niezwykła scenografia to dzieło Ezio Frigerio, a za fantastyczne kostiumy odpowiadała Franca Squarciapino.
Prapremiera opery Rigoletto miała miejsce w weneckim Gran Teatro La Fenice w 1851 roku.

The three-act opera is an international classic. Originally titled La maledizione (The Curse) by the composer, the piece was given its debut at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice in 1851. To give justice to the iconic masterpiece, director Gilberto Deflo leaned towards tradition. With its its lavish scenery and costumes, the Warsaw production has been attracting admirers of more classical opera stagings for years. The Duke of Mantua's opulent palace, richly adorned period costumes and decorations will transport you to the magical world of operatic splendour that many miss so much. Credit here should go to set designer Ezio Frigerio and costume designer Franca Squarciapino.
Drawing on Victor Hugo's play Le roi s'amuse, the romantically dramatic story of jester Rigoletto, his daughter Gilda, and the Duke of Mantua is the axis around which the vibrant opera revolves, while Verdi's catchy tunes are a permanent fixture in the opera canon. Leading the Warsaw cast are Jorge Lagunes in the title role, Ho-Yoon Chung as the Duke, and Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk as Gilda. Maestro Patrick Fournillier conducts.
