Marriage, Hypocrisy and Tough Choices
Warsaw's Imka Theater is staging "Your Molotov Kisses" by Venezuelan playwright Gustavo Ott. In an era when divorce rates are sky high and the importance of marriage is waning, the play introduces the audience to a well-to-do married couple of 40-year-olds who have been together for several years. Victoria is a TV news anchor and Daniel is a high-profile lawyer. The only thing they need is a baby. At the least appropriate moment, Victoria receives a shipment from the FBI with a backpack she lost 20 years earlier. It will tum out to be a Pandora's box.
The play is directed by Wojciech Błach. In a funny and sometimes bitter way, it broaches subjects such as hypocrisy, prejudice, terrorism and life choices that always have their price.
